Description:
The Ohio State University College of Optometry values and supports diversity among its faculty, students, and staff. We promote an atmosphere of mutual respect and inclusion within our classrooms, laboratories, and clinics. Our faculty members are recognized internationally for their academic credentials, real-life experience, and cutting-edge research. We share the resources of the most comprehensive health sciences center in the nation, and provide a well-rounded learning experience that will fully prepare you for optometric practice both today and in the future. As an Ohio State student, you’ll have access to a vast array of campus resources, from state-of-the-art recreational facilities to the internationally acclaimed Wexner Center for the Performing Arts, as well as unlimited academic support programs. You can also get involved in a wide variety of College and University student organizations.
You will complete a comprehensive business management course sequence throughout the four year curriculum, taught by Ohio State Fisher College of Business faculty members and community practitioners, that will prepare you for the ‘real-world’ clinical and business aspects of operating a successful optometric practice. We also offer the opportunity for outstanding students to participate in a four-year combined Doctor of Optometry/Masters in Vision Science program.
