Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry is the only optometric academic institution in the state of Florida. Students are able to enjoy South Florida’s renowned weather, beaches and other attractions while participating in the college’s strong didactic curriculum and clinical training. Numerous student organizations enhance the student’s experience while learning in a culturally diverse environment that will thoroughly prepare them for their professional careers.
The College of Optometry has established an extended program leading to the doctor of optometry degree. This program is designed for individuals, who are returning to school after an absence, are changing professional fields, or who require a lighter course load initially because of family or other obligations. Enrollment for the extended program is limited.
